The modern wine label appeared after the 17th century. The early wine labels were single in function and simple in style. Most of them consisted of few words, and at most some letters in swashes or variants were used to decorate a family crest. Even now, a certain wine of a winery or winery, except for the change of the number of years, its wine label pattern is mostly the same every year. Proud French people even think that their wines are number one in the world, and there is no need to spend energy on wine labels. In the Bordeaux region of France, it was not until the beginning of the last century that winery owners began to design their own wine labels. Before that, wines were sold in barrels to wine merchants, who cultivated, bottled and sold them. In 1924, Chteau Mouton Rothschild, to commemorate the first bottle of finished wine, the owner of the winery, Baron Philippe de Rothschild specially invited the famous poster artist, Jean Carly designed a brand new label for this year's wine, pioneering the artistic design of wine labels.
