Black Anodized Aluminium Name Plates
Richi’s metal name plates are most commonly made from Aluminium, Stainless Steel and Brass substrates, but also from tin plate and aluminium foil. Material gauge depends on the application and such things as what mechanical strength the plate is required to have, the type of finish, and what environment the plate will be placed in.
Product Introduction
Black Anodized Aluminium Name Plates
Richi's metal nameplates are usually made from aluminum, stainless steel and brass substrates, but also tinplate and aluminum foil. Material specifications depend on the application and factors such as the mechanical strength the board needs to have, the type of finish, and the environment in which the board is placed. Material finishes vary by metal choice.
Anodizing is used to create abrasion and chemical resistant coatings for aluminum nameplates and panels. Anodic coatings are used to retard the oxidation of aluminum by forcing it to oxidize by electrolytic methods combined with dyes. Please check our Black Anodized Aluminium Name Plates for reference.
Anodized aluminum parts are specified in many military, automotive, aircraft, and appliance applications, such as Black Anodized Aluminium Name Plates. Anodizing can be used to simulate a variety of materials, such as brass, copper, and bronze, at a fraction of the cost. The anodizing and printing process results in excellent copy clarity and resolution. Parts can be selectively dyed in additional colors, allowing multiple colors to be used on the same part.
Some anodized colors will fade under UV light, so care must be taken when choosing colors that will be exposed to direct sunlight. Matching custom colors is very difficult because the colors are dyed rather than printed. When specifying custom colors, additional color matching tolerances must be allowed.
Anodized parts are often combined with other processes to create unique and long-lasting products such as etched nameplates, screen printed nameplates, black anodized aluminum nameplates, and lithographic nameplates.
Standard manufacturing procedures on nameplates and panels allow fully anodized parts to have unanodized edges and holes. However, edges and holes can be anodized by fabricating the part first and then anodizing it. This manufacturing process is more expensive due to the additional processing required.
The aluminum to be anodized is surface treated prior to anodization. They include polished aluminium, satin brushed and non-mirror matte.
Anodized aluminum provides an excellent base for subsequent finishes and treatments such as adhesives, paints and inks. Anodizing of aluminum provides a very attractive and long-lasting product.
